WILX in East Lansing is reporting that Tom Izzo isn't going anywhere. Their report backs up what WDIV had to say earlier tonight and goes into even more detail.
Sources at Michigan State University tell wilx.com Tom Izzo is staying at MSU. Izzo told the Board of Trustees Tuesday evening that he was not taking an offer to coach the Cleveland Cavaliers. Our sources say Izzo then met with his players to tell them the news.
All signs are pointing to Izzo staying, so while nothing has been confirmed just yet, it would take a pretty stunning change of events for Izzo to end up in Cleveland.
