Tigers Trade For Brandon Jones; Jeff Larish Claimed By Athletics

Just a couple of roster notes from last week:

The Tigers made a move to acquire minor-league outfielder Brandon Jones from the Pirates. Pittsburgh will get a player to be named later out of the deal, and Jones was assigned to Double-A Erie.
Jeff Larish, who was designated for assignment when Jhonny Peralta was traded to the Tigers, was claimed by the Athletics off waivers. He actually had 10 RBI in a doubleheader for the Athletics' Triple-A team, and he has now been called up to the big-league roster.
