Davion Rogers Leaves Michigan Football Team

Yet another defensive player has decided to leave the Michigan football team. Davion Rogers, a freshman linebacker from Ohio,  is the third player in 10 days to exit the program. Sophomore safety Vlad Emilien and redshirt freshman defensive end Anthony LaLota both opted to transfer to other schools. 

Rogers, however, appears to be an academic issue. As the Detroit News reports, Rogers had eligibility problems with the NCAA Clearinghouse and will likely not be returning to the team. 

Size had also been a concern with Rogers. He was a 205-pound outside linebacker coming out of high school.

Michigan has now lost five players from the recruiting class it signed in February. In addition to Rogers, Austin White Demar Dorsey, Conelius Jones and Antonio Kinard have also left the program.
