Ndamukong Suh Fined $7,500 For Roughing Up Jake Delhomme

Adam Schefter reported this morning that Lions rookie defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh would be fined by the NFL $7,500 for unnecessary roughness on Jake Delhomme in the third preseason game. The report was confirmed by the NFL shortly thereafter.

On the play, Suh grabbed Delhomme's facemask and tried to decapitate him before throwing him to the ground like a rag doll. It came as no shocker to me that many Cleveland players didn't just want him fined, but also suspended.  When Suh showed no remorse (which I loved) I thought for sure he would get a hefty fine, but never thought a suspension was in the cards.

A meager $7,500 for the big guy who just signed a $40 million guaranteed contract? I think Suh got off easy, but I won't complain.
