The Michigan State Spartans (17-4, 6-2 Big Ten) moved into a three-way tie for first place in the Big Ten after topping the Minnesota Golden Gophers (15-6, 3-5 Big Ten) 68-52 on Wednesday night at Jack Breslin Student Events Center.
The Spartans held Minnesota to a season-low 52 points, and Draymond Green (22 points on 9-11 shooting, 14 rebounds, 6 assists) did all he could to end Minnesota's three-game Big Ten winning streak, while guard Branden Dawson added 16 points, 4 rebounds and 4 blocks for the Spartans.
With the win, the Spartans improved to 6-2 in the Big Ten, joining the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines atop the Big Ten.
Michigan State gets some time off before hosting the Michigan Wolverines (16-5, 6-2 Big Ten) on Jan. 31 at 7:00 p.m. eastern.
