Gerald Laird and Avisail Garcia get starts against left-hander Andy Pettitte in game one of the ALCS Saturday.

The New York Yankees host the Detroit Tigers in game one of the American League Championship series at 8 p.m. Saturday and with left-hander Andy Pettitte (5-4, 2.87 ERA) starting for the Yankees, Detroit will start right-handers Gerald Laird at catcher and Avisail Garcia in right field.
