The Lions hope to see multiple players sent to Hawaii this year.
The NFL will announce the rosters for the 2013 Pro Bowl Wednesday night, and the Detroit Lions are hoping to see multiple players chosen to participate in the annual all-star game. Wide receiver Calvin Johnson, new owner of the league's single season receiving record, is a lock to make the team, but the Lions could be shut out after that.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford has dealt with a depleted wide receiver corps this season in fighting his way to a solid if unspectacular season, but it's unlikely that he will be chosen for the team. As far as the offense goes, Detroit's best hope after Johnson may reside somewhere on the offensive line. On defense, the team will be looking for linebackers Stephen Tulloch and Justin Durant, who are tops on the team in tackles. That said, neither player has much on his resumé for the season besides a high number of tackles.
The 2012 selection show can be seen at 7 p.m. ET Wednesday on NFL Network.
