Michigan native Brad Keselowski gave his hometown fans reason to believe that he has a real chance to make a run during the Daytona 500 after he posted the fastest 10-lap average during practice on Friday, via SI.com.
Keselowski averaged 195.898 mph during the second of two sessions at Daytona International Speedway. Busch averaged 195.895 mph. Clint Bowyer was third, followed by Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Joey Logano and Mark Martin. Denny Hamlin, Martin Truex Jr. and AJ Allmendinger rounded out the top 10.
Kaselowski will start in the 23rd position in the starting grid. Here is the complete starting lineup for the 2012 Daytona 500, which is currently delayed due to rain:
