When to tune-in and what to expect on Selection Sunday.
For dozens of programs across college basketball, Selection Sunday is viewed as a day of reckoning. In a matter of minutes, the fate of the top 68 schools in America will be instantly revealed. Some will be left out. Some will barely squeeze in. But once that final cut has been made, there's no turning back.
Thankfully, three local schools, the Michigan State Spartans, Michigan Wolverines and Detroit Titans, are each already locked into the field. Because of this, the revealing of the brackets won't end up being quite as much of a nail-biter as in past years for local fans.
Hosting the Selection Show yet again is the trio of Greg Gumbel, Seth Davis and Greg Anthony. They will be joined via satellite from the Big Ten tournament in Indianapolis by Jim Nantz, Clark Kellogg, Steve Kerr and Jeff Hathaway, chairman of the NCAA basketball selection committee. It's also safe to expect a slew of live reaction shots from teams as they learn their fate, as well as interviews with many notable coaches and players throughout the broadcast.
Here are the details:
Time: 6-7 p.m. ET
TV Channel: CBS, online/mobile
