The Detroit Titans aren't anyone's trendy upset pick, so they'll have a chance to shock the world if they can take down the Kansas Jayhawks, favorites for a lot of people's Final Fours, on Friday in Omaha.
The Jayhawks are dangerous on offense with two guys, Thomas Robinson and Tyshawn Taylor, who both averaged more than 17 points per game. Ray McCallum paces the Titans offense with 15.6 points per game. The stats are pretty much all on Kansas' side with almost every regular season average statistic leaning their way minus Detroit having a slight edge in steals and turnovers.
It's going to be a tough go for Detroit to be a rare 15 seed upset. The old cliche is for a team to upset a bigger team by raining down three pointers, but the Horizon League champions weren't particularly adept at that during the regular season with an average 30.2 three point shooting percentage.
Game time: Approx. 9:57 p.m. ET
TV: truTV
Location: CenturyLink Arena, Omaha, NE
