NCAA Tournament Bracket 2012, Kansas Vs. Detroit Score: Titans Fall 65-50

Kansas was just too big and too strong in the second half against the Detroit Titans, and their interior defense allowed the Jayhawks to break out from a close game midway through the first half to earn a comfortable 65-50 win over Detroit in the 2012 NCAA tournament.

From the 9:04 mark of the first half until the 12:45 mark of the second half, Detroit managed to score only seven points. In that time, Kansas took a 50-28 lead after trailing 21-19 at the beginning of the run. The 31-7 spurt was led by Thomas Robinson, who had 16 points and 12 rebounds. Elijah Johnson had 13 for Kansas as well.

Doug Anderson finished with 15 for Detroit but fouled out in the second half once Kansas had built its lead.
