Lions Injury Update: Justin Durant Left Practice Early On Sunday, Ryan Broyles Returned

Justin Durant left Sunday's practice early due to a foot injury, and many more injury updates following the Detroit Lions' first preseason game.

The Detroit Lions haven't been hit with too many major injuries thus far this preseason, but it definitely didn't hurt that two of their players were able to return to practice on Sunday after missing the team's first preseason game. Amari Spievey returned, as mentioned earlier, along with rookie receiver Ryan Broyles -- though the team wasn't completely healthy.

The Detroit News reports that rookie Patrick Edwards didn't practice at all on Sunday due to an undisclosed injury while starting linebacker Justin Durant (foot) and rookie defensive end Ronnell Lewis (shoulder) were unable to finish practice.

No further details were available on the above injuries, but a bit more is known regarding the Lions' though process with Spievey and Broyles.

The team still plans to be cautious with Spievey due to his concussion issues last season, but they don't believe this year's headaches are related to last year's incident. As far as Broyles is concerned, the team is also being cautious with him as Sunday marked his first full-pads practice since ACL surgery nine months ago.

Titus Young also missed Sunday's practice, but not due to injury -- he was off since Friday due to the birth of his child.
