Nick Fairley's Trial For DUI Arrest Moved To Sept. 26

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley's trial date for his recent DUI arrest in Mobile, Ala., has been moved to 9:30 a.m. ET on Sept. 26, as the Detroit Free Press reports. Fairley is being charged with three different misdemeanors as a result of his May 27 arrest just outside of Mobile.

According to the report, Fairley has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and attempting to elude police in connection with his May arrest. Alabama State troopers say that Fairley's Cadillac Escalade passed a police car at 1:13 a.m. traveling about 100 m.p.h.

In addition to the pending court date for the DUI, Fairley also awaits a Nov. 27 hearing in Mobile Municipal Court for second-degree marijuana possession charges. It's unclear whether the Lions or league plans to punish Fairley for his actions, but it's going to be a while before things are all sorted out.
