Michigan Wolverines left tackle Taylor Lewan is "fine" after limping off the field in Saturday's loss to Alabama

Michigan Wolverine left tackle Taylor Lewan is "fine" despite concerns that he suffered a significant leg injury in Saturday's loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide, according to Sam Webb of GoBlueWolverine.

Lewan, a junior, injured his leg late in Saturday's game and had to be helped off the field. He was severely limping. Michael Schofield shifted over from right tackle to replace Lewan and right guard Patrick Omameh moved to right tackle. Sophomore Joey Burzynski, who has never started for the Michigan Wolverines, filled in at the empty right guard position.

Lewan's health is a huge break for Michigan who already lost one starter this week when cornerback Blake Countless was ruled out for the year with a torn ACL. Lewan, along with quarterback Denard Robinson, was listed preseason on the Big Ten's "Players To Watch" list. Lewan started all 13 games at left tackle for Michigan last year and is expected to start in their upcoming contest with Air Force.
