SB Nation's latest mock draft has the Lions taking Texas A&M DE Damontre Moore with the fifth overall pick.

SB Nation's Mocking The Draft released their latest mock draft Monday morning. In it, they have the Detroit Lions selecting Texas A&M Damontre Moore fifth overall.

Dan Kadar previously mocked Florida State DE Bjoern Werner to the Lions, but this week he has the Raiders scooping up Werner third overall, leaving Moore to fall to Detroit:

Moore could be used in pass rush situations behind Vanden Bosch early in his career and help a defense that finished 20th in the league in sacks.

The Lions desperately need an upgrade on the defensive line, with Kyle Vanden Bosch getting older and worse by the year and Cliff Avril set to become a free agent.

Obviously, it's way too early to be setting picks in stone--a whole lot can and will change in the next four months--but this is a pretty good snapshot of Detroit's needs. It's a bumper crop for pass-rushing talent, and whether they go with Moore or Werner, it's hard to go wrong here.
