The story from Sunday's should have been San Francisco handing Detroit its first loss of the season. Instead, the focus will be on what happened after the game ended. 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh was jumping around after the game in celebration of the victory, and he continued the celebration right as he shook hands with Lions head coach Jim Schwartz. This set Schwartz off, and he proceeded to chase after Harbaugh and had to be restrained. - game↵
Here's video of the incident:
According to Albert Breer, Harbaugh said after the game that he was too revved up and shook Schwartz's hand "too hard." Schwartz said he "went to congratulate Harbaugh and got shoved out of the way." He also said he "didn't expect an obscenity at that point."↵
I'm sure this won't be the last we hear about this incident, and I'm sure both coaches will hear from the NFL. It was an ugly scene for two coaches to have to be separated like that, and regardless of who you think is at fault, it was a bad way to cap off a hard fought game.
