Lions Final Injury Report For Game Vs. Broncos Lists Jahvid Best As Out

The Detroit Lions concluded their final practice of the week for their game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Not much changed over the course of the week on the injury report, but Jahvid Best has officially been ruled out due to his ongoing concussion systems.

Best is the only player that is definitively out for this weekend. The Lions starting running back also missed last week's game after suffering his second concussion in as many months the previous week.

Aside from Best, who definitely won't play, the Lions have three players that are "doubtful" to play against Denver. Nick Fairley was unable to practice all week due to a foot injury, wide receiver Rashied Davis is still recovering from a foot injury of his own and Vincent Fuller is nursing an elbow injury. Defensive tackle Sammie Hill is questionable to play with an ankle injury.

The other big injury, of course, is that of quarterback Matthew Stafford. Stafford went through a full practice on Friday, but he's still listed as questionable on the injury report. Adding to the mystery, coach Jim Schwartz has yet to definitively name a starter for Sunday's game.

Rob Sims, Gosder Cherilus, Chris Houston and Willie Young are all probable to play on Sunday according to the report.
