Funny Or Die: Nickelback Tries To Figure Out Why Detroit Hates Them

Despite the petition that nearly reached Ford Field capacity to prevent them from performing, Nickelback will be our Lions-Packers Turkey Day interlude. Based on the publicity the petition received, I thought for sure Nickelback would either be replaced or back out for fear of the fans' wrath, but that obviously wasn't the case.

Rather than simply shrugging off the hate and going forward with the show (while likely getting incessantly boo-birded), the Canadian group decided to make light of the situation by doing a video for Funny or Die. As you'll see in the sketch below, the members of Nickelback meet with their faux-manager, Andre from 'The League', and try to figure out exactly why Detroit hates them and what they can do to change the public perception. While they don't really touch on the real reason (their music), the self-deprecating humor in this one is strong and should earn them some brownie points:
