The Detroit Lions are coming off a good win that firmly kept them in the 2012 NFL playoff picture, though they aren't competing for the NFC North any longer. They're lined up to get one of the wild card spots though, and that's just fine by them. They're not moving much in the weekly power rankings though, and that's likely because the Christian Ponder-led Minnesota Vikings kept things close on Sunday. Still, Detroit got the win, and that's all that matters to them.
ESPN moves them up one spot in their Week 15 NFL power rankings:
11. Things might not be pretty with the defense, but the Lions do have a great chance at the last wild card. (Clayton)
That's right - the defense is not pretty, especially without Ndamukong Suh in there. Still, they got the job done on Sunday and are currently the final seed in the NFC playoffs. We'll see if they're able to hold onto it in the coming weeks.
