Lions Vs. Raiders: Detroit Takes On Oakland, Goes For Second Straight Win

For more on the Lions, check out Pride of Detroit.

The final three weeks of the NFL season are upon us. Usually, this is when Lions fans start wondering about where Detroit will end up in the draft order. A playoff race hasn't happened in more than a decade, but this year's Lions team is not just in the mix for a spot in the postseason, they are actually in very good shape.

Thanks to their close win against the Vikings, the Lions are No. 6 in the NFC with an 8-5 record. If they can pick up two more wins this season, chances are they will make the playoffs. They could even make the playoffs with only one more win this season, although that isn't a chance anybody wants to take.

Considering the Lions have to close out the season at Lambeau Field against a Packers team that could be going for a 16-0 regular season, it's important to pick up wins in the next two weeks against the Raiders and Chargers. On Sunday, the Lions will head to Oakland to take on a Raiders team that is also fighting for a playoff spot. They have dropped their last two games and could really use a win as the chase for the AFC West title and a wild card spot heats up.

Sunday's game is set to kick off at 4:05 p.m. (Eastern Time). FOX will have the broadcast of the game.
