Stafford's 305 yards is the most in a road opener in team history.
Not a bad record to break considering the Lions' history goes back 80-plus years. Stafford was 24-of-33 for 305 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
The previous high in the last 20 years (and it could be the previous high, but I didn't look back any further than the last 20 years) was Jon Kitna's performance in the 2007 opener in Oakland. In the Lions' 36-21 win over the Raiders, Kitna was 27-of-36 for 289 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.
Now, compare this to Stoney Case's 100 yards passing in a 14-10 win over the Saints in 2000, the last time the Lions had a winning season.
