Aaron Berry Arrest: Detroit Lions CB Waives Preliminary Hearing In DUI Case

On Tuesday, Detroit Lions cornerback Aaron Berry waived his right to a preliminary hearing in the case associated with his driving under the influence charge from his arrest in Pennsylvania last month.

Berry was in Harrisburg in late June to participate in a celebrity softball weekend hosted by former college teammate and current Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy. Ultimately, he never participated in the event because of his arrest.

According to reports, Berry was driving his car near the Harrisburg Hilton Hotel when he struck a parked car, exited his vehicle and walked away from the scene of the crime. Once police officers caught up with Berry around 4:45 in the morning, he was allegedly uncooperative when asked for identification, as well as refusing sobriety tests.

As of this time, the Dauphin County district attorney's office said no date has been set for a trial.
