Detroit Lions Training Camp News: Mikel Leshoure Returns To Practice On Wednesday

After being sidelined for the past two weeks with a nagging hamstring injury, Detroit Lions running back Mikel Leshoure returned to practice with the team on Wednesday, as Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press writes.

Leshoure, Detroit's second-round pick in 2011, never played during his rookie season with the Lions due to a torn Achilles tendon. He's expected to be a key part of Detroit's offense this season, though, particularly given the uncertain surrounding the status of starting running back Jahvid Best.

Other than Leshoure and Best, the Lions have been using Kevin Smith, Keiland Williams and Stefan Logan at running back in practices. Leshoure missed Detroit's preseason debut, but he's told reporters that he hopes to play in this week's game against the Baltimore Ravens.
