Lions Preseason 2012: Titus Young Missed Monday Practice For Detroit For 'Non-Injury' Reasons

Titus Young has missed quite a few days of preseason workouts and, while staying home for things like the birth of his child are to be expected, the Detroit Lions wide receiver missed Monday's practice for a reason unbeknownst to the public.

Young was excused from Monday's practice simply for "non-injury reasons," according to head coach Jim Schwartz, leaving CBS Sports' John Kreger a bit skeptical regarding the reason he was absent.

That answer wouldn't normally be cause for concern -- especially for a player with a newborn child -- except for the fact that Young's offseason was marred by a week-long absence from OTAs following an incident with teammate Louis Delmas. It'll be interesting to see whether Young is present at Wednesday's workout. If he's not, he'll surely face questions about the missed practices when he returns.

There's a chance that Kreger is reading too far into things, but it'll be an interesting story to keep an eye on either way.
