Lions Vs. 49ers: Chris Houston Returns To Practice For Detroit

Detroit Lions cornerback Chris Houston returned to practice on Wednesday after sitting out for two weeks with a sprained ankle, as Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. Houston sat out of last week's season debut against the St. Louis Rams.

As ESPN.com's Kevin Seifert notes, Houston will likely start on Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers if he doesn't suffer a setback this week. The Lions have a secondary in flux right now due to a series of injuries, so Houston's return will be welcomed.

While Houston returned to practice on Wednesday, the Lions saw two other defensive backs sit out with injuries. Rookie cornerback Bill Bentley is recovering from a concussion suffered last Sunday, while safety Louis Delmas deals with a knee injury.
