The Detroit Pistons (3-9) snapped their six-game losing streak on Friday night, defeating the Charlotte Bobcats (2-10) by a score of 98-81. The loss was the Bobcats' sixth straight.
The Pistons controlled the game from the very start, beating the Bobcats in every facet of the game. The Pistons scored 52 points in the paint to the Bobcats' 36, outrebounded them 46-34, and had 26 assists on their 40 baskets.
All five Pistons starters scored in double-figures, but Jonas Jerebko led the team in scoring with 22 on 12 shots. Greg Monroe added 19 points on 9-for-20 shooting and corralled nine rebounds. Brandon Knight picked up his first double-double of his career with 13 points and 10 rebounds, and also had zero turnovers.
The Pistons will look to build off this solid win on Sunday at the Palace against the Warriors.

The Detroit Pistons are well on their way to ending their six-game losing streak on Friday night. The Pistons (2-9) are up 12 on the Charlotte Bobcats (2-9) at the half, 51-39.
Detroit's been up on Charlotte from the start, outrebounding the Bobcats and assisting on 12 of their 20 baskets. Turnovers have been a major problem for the Pistons during their current losing streak, but they have just four in the first half.
Jonas Jerebko leads the Pistons with 12 points, all scored in the first quarter on 5-of-7 shooting. He also has five rebounds, a block, and a steal. Greg Monroe, who scored 32 points and grabbed 16 rebounds last night, has 11 points, four rebounds, and four assists.
B.J. Mullens leads the Charlotte with 14 points.
Charlie Villanueva is again out due to a mysterious ankle injury.
