Pistons Schedule 2012: Detroit Has Back-To-Back Road Games Vs. Cleveland Cavaliers And Toronto Raptors

The Detroit Pistons are on the road for back-to-back games on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week before heading into the All-Star Break. Detroit is streaking into the break, having won seven of its last nine games, including a 96-81 beat down of the Boston Celtics Sunday evening.

The Pistons head to Cleveland to face the Cavaliers Tuesday night at 7 p.m. Cleveland is in the midst of a nine-game home stand in which it has won three and lost three. Most recently, the Cavaliers defeated the Sacramento Kings 93-92 Sunday night on two game-winning free throws from rookie Kyrie Irving. Irving was named as a participant in the 2012 Taco Bells Skills Challenge by the NBA on Monday.

Detroit lost its only meeting of the season with Cleveland, a 105-89 clubbing in just the second game of the season. Cleveland and Detroit are second-to-last and last in the Central Division, respectively.

The Pistons will then take on the Toronto Raptors Wednesday evening for the first time this season. The Raptors are just 9-23 on the season, having dropped eight of their past 10 games. Toronto will be without Andrea Bargnani, who has missed 19 of the past 21 games, and, most likely, Linas Kleiza, who is day-to-day with a sore left knee.

Pistons Schedule 2012: Detroit Meets Boston Twice In Busy Week

The Detroit Pistons doubled their win total in the last few weeks, going from four to eight in a nice little run of form. That was snapped Sunday evening by the Washington Wizards, but Greg Monroe and the Pistons finally look like they have something to build on. They'll have four more games this week to try and boost themselves into double digits in the win column.

Tuesday brings the first test as the Pistons meet the San Antonio Spurs at The Palace. The Spurs appear to be back in their typical form of years past with their 19-9 record, led by the usual crew of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli. Speaking of Manu, he's back in the Spurs lineup after a lengthy absence and that can only make the Spurs scarier.

Wednesday on the second leg of a back to back the Pistons go out for their only road game of the week, meeting the Boston Celtics. At 15-12, the Celtics are having a bit of a down year by their franchises standards but Rajon Rondo is still playing very, very well. That's helping to push the Celtics back into consideration for a Title even as the other members of the 'big three' falter a bit.

The weekend brings two more games as they face the Sacramento Kings at home on Friday and then meet the Celtics once again -- this time in Detroit -- on Sunday.
