Stay connected for news and updates

Much like the regular season, the Detroit Pistons participating in the Rising Stars Challenge found themselves on the losing side of things on Friday night in Orlando, Fla. Greg Monroe and Brandon Knight, teammates on Team Shaq, lost to Team Chuck, 146-133, in the Rising Stars Challenge.

Monroe and Knight made their presence felt, though, both turning in noteworthy performances. Monroe had the better game with a double-double, 19 points and 10 rebounds. He also had five steals, including this "if you want to join the dunk contest, join the dunk contest" takeaway at the end of the game.

Knight had the worst shooting game for Team Shaq (5-for-14), but he still finished with 14 points and seven assists, including a couple highlight passes.

Cleveland Cavaliers rookie Kyrie Irving won the game's Most Valuable Player award in scoring 34 points on 12-for-13 shooting (8-for-8 from three-pointers).
