The Detroit Pistons have only three games this week including one against the league's worst team from Charlotte.
The Detroit Pistons come out of the All Star Break a bit of a mystery. They started the season horrifically, but started to put it together thanks to the emergence of Greg Monroe as February went along. At 11-24, it looks unlikely that the Pistons will be making the playoffs in 2012 but it looks like they won't be the worst team in the NBA either, a welcome relief after the terrible basketball of January.
This week starts on Tuesday for the Pistons when they welcome the Philadelphia 76ers to town. The 20-14 76ers had a bit of a drop before the All Star break with five straight losses but are still the class of the Atlantic division. That's mostly thanks to the terrible play at the start of the year by the New York Knicks, but Lin-sanity hasn't managed to catch up to them yet.
Wednesday at home, Detroit faces the league's worst team, the Charlotte Bobcats. Earlier in the year, Charlotte helped Detroit break an awful road losing streak, and the Cats don't look to have much more luck on the road themselves. Scoring has been a particular issue for the Bobcats so far in their 4-28 campaign, so the Pistons will like their chances despite being on the second leg of a back to back..
Saturday will bring Detroit to Memphis for a game against the Grizzlies, their only weekend game this week.
