The Detroit Pistons will look to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers for the first time in 2012 in Cleveland on Wednesday evening.

Both the Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers are playing mediocre basketball at best right now, but the Pistons have the slight advantage in form. It wasn't pretty, but Rodney Stuckey ended a four game losing streak for Detroit on Monday when he hit a last second jumper to take home a 79-77 win over the reeling Washington Wizards. That win was more than the Cavs have been able to claim recently, marred in a four game losing streak of their own.

The Pistons will need to channel that winning streak into something positive if they want to beat the Cavaliers for the first time this season. Led by Kyrie Irving, the Cavs have won both meetings of the two clubs so far in 2012. Detroit has a rookie point guard of its own, Brandon Knight. Knight is the second leading scorer in the rookie race of 2012 right behind Irving, but is on a bit of a slump recently.

Neither of these teams currently look like they will be attacking the bottom of the remaining playoff slots as the season starts to draw to a close, but if they want to they might want to start winning games against their fellow lower teams as fast as they can.

The game will be at Quicken Loans Arena at 7:00 p.m. ET.
