Pistons Vs. Lakers Final Score: Rodney Stuckey Leads Detroit Past Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles In Overtime

The Palace of Auburn Hills -- full of fans who came to see the masked Kobe Bryant -- was given a show. The Rodney Stuckey show. Stuckey scored a game-high 34 points on 13-for-20 shooting, 11 of those coming in the fourth quarter and then another six coming in overtime.

Fans saw plenty of what they paid to see, though -- Bryant heaved 26 shots (and only made eight of them); one of his makes was a big one, as he hit a fadeaway at the buzzer of regulation to force overtime.

But Stuckey kept coming in overtime when Kobe didn't, scoring six of the Pistons' 10 points in a 10-7 overtime period in Detroit's favor. Bryant's three-point attempt with six seconds was off the mark and Metta World Peace missed a desperation three after corralling the rebound and hustling it back out to the three-point line as the final seconds ticked off.

Greg Monroe struggled mightily with Andrew Bynum, who scored 30 points and had 14 rebounds against the Pistons' 21-year-old second year big man. Monroe had just two points on 1-for-10 shooting. He did have 15 rebounds, though.

The Pistons play again on Friday when they host the Atlanta Hawks.

Pistons Vs. Lakers Score Update: Second Quarter Run Has Detroit Up 4 At Half

The Los Angeles Lakers have won nine of their last 12 games and started Tuesday night's game against the Pistons like they were going to make easy work of them. After the first quarter, they led 24-17 and were up 12, 37-25, with seven and a half minutes remaining in the half.

But that's when the Pistons turned it on for the home crowd. Detroit went on a 20-4 run to end the half, paced by Rodney Stuckey scoring eight points, taking a four-point lead on the Western Conference's third place team. Stuckey scored 10 in all in the second quarter and 12 in the first half. Ben Gordon added 11 points off the bench.

The Lakers shot just 41-percent in the first half. Kobe Bryant, sporting a new black mask for his broken nose, was only 2-for-10 shooting. The Lakers were led by Andrew Bynum's 13 points and six rebounds.
