The Detroit Pistons will face the playoff desperate Milwaukee Bucks in Detroit on Friday.

The playoffs were pretty much a pipe dream from the start for the Detroit Pistons. They started the season with some of the worst basketball that Detroit has ever seen and, though they've improved in the past few months, couldn't make up for the tough start and are now officially eliminated.

The Milwaukee Bucks aren't in quite as bad a situation, but after losing to the New York Knicks on Wednesday they have their work cut out for them if they want to make the playoffs in that eighth seed. At 28-30, the Bucks are now two games behind the Knicks with eight games remaining with their new look squad (featuring Monta Ellis) losing two straight games.

The Bucks are desperate and facing a Pistons team that destroyed the Charlotte Bobcats in their last game thanks to an explosion of offense by Greg Monroe. On the road against a team with a bit more confidence than they may have had earlier in the season, the Bucks could have a hard time getting more ground in the playoff race.

The game will be at The Palace of Auburn Hills at 8:00 p.m. ET.
