Stay connected for news and updates

On Monday afternoon, ESPN basketball insider Chris Broussard reported that the Detroit Pistons' vice president of basketball operations, Scott Perry, has been hired by the Orlando Magic to join Rob Hennigan's staff and become the team's assistant general manger.

Perry had been the Pistons' VP of basketball operations for the last four seasons under team general manager Joe Dumars.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports and NBC Sports Network, with Perry leaving for Orlando, Detroit will likely promote front office executive George David to the assistant general manager position with the club.
