2012 NBA Draft Results: Detroit Pistons Select Khris Middleton With 39th Overall Pick

Stay connected for news and updates
With the 39th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, the Detroit Pistons selected Khris Middleton, a forward out of Texas A&M.

Middleton jumped into the draft out of Texas A&M after his junior year, when he averaged 13.2 points, 5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. At 6'7" and 210 pounds, Middleton is considered a good perimeter scorer but struggled from behind the arc in his final season with the Aggies, shooting just 26 percent from behind the three-point line after a knee injury helped to push him down to the second round. With Ben Gordon leaving Detroit, the Pistons can use perimeter scorers and the 20-year old Middleton can fill that need with plenty of room to develop.

After landing Andre Drummond at No. 9, the Pistons will be on the clock for the final time (barring a trade) at pick No. 44.
