Red Wings defenseman Mike Commodore really likes his new city.
↵To welcome him to Detroit, a complete stranger hooked Commodore up with tickets to tonight's Tigers-White Sox game at Comerica Park:
↵↵↵Haven't even landed in the D yet and @Totten24 whom I have never met is teeing me up with #Tigers tix...love this city already.
↵
A nice gesture and great sign of Detroit hospitality. And Commodore isn't very nit-picky when it comes to his free tickets either; the seats are in the upper deck with the "die hards" as he put it. Commodore later tweeted this picture from his seat.
↵Commodore was signed in the offseason to provide the Wings with some depth after the sudden retirement of Brian Rafalski. He signed a one-year, $1 million deal to play in Detroit. His career had taken a bit of a downward turn, spending a good portion of his season last year in the minor leagues. Hopefully he can reinvent himself in Motown.
