The Detroit Red Wings have won sixteen straight at home and six straight in general, can the white-hot St. Louis Blues end the streak?

The Detroit Red Wings are on a heck of a hot streak as of late, with sixteen wins in a row at Joe Louis Arena and six straight victories in general including their Friday 3-2 win over the Columbus Bluejackets. The St. Louis Blues are also doing quite well as of late with four straight wins, their last coming against the reeling Buffalo Sabres on Friday.

St. Louis has been absolutely tearing it up on the ice since they hired Ken Hitchcock earlier in the year and will bring a very strong defensive game into the Joe. It's going to be hard for Detroit to crack through but the Wings have shown plenty of offensive mettle in recent games with four 3-2 shootout victories and a 5-0 drubbing of Buffalo dotting their previous five.

Jimmy Howard has been impressive in the shootouts that Detroit have forced, so St. Louis are going to need to win it in regulation if they want to win it at all and finally break that amazing streak that the Wings have put together.
