Mike Commodore Says Goodbye To Red Wings On Twitter

Stay connected for news and updates

Although he only appeared in 17 games for the Detroit Red Wings this season, defenseman Mike Commodore provided fans with a lot of entertainment during his time with the team. The entertainment came via his Twitter account, @commie22, where he interacted with fans, tweeted quite a few hilarious things and even got Pavel Datsyuk and Tomas Holmstrom to answer questions from the masses.

In true Commodore fashion, he took to Twitter on Monday after being traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning to thank Red Wings fans and wish the team good luck going forward.

I don't usually continue to follow athletes after they have left a Detroit team, but I think Commodore will be an exception. He may be with the Lightning now, but I'm sure he will still be an entertaining follow. I just hope he doesn't stop chirping at Red Wings forward Cory Emmerton (@cemmer48) now that he's with a different team.
