Stay connected for news and updates

When the puck drops in the season finale on Saturday between the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, former top pick Riley Sheahan out of Notre Dame will be making his NHL debut for the Wings, according to Ansar Kahn of MLIVE:

Sheahan was the Red Wings' first pick in the 2010 entry draft and signed a three-year contract with the Red Wings on Thursday. In seven games on an amateur contract with the Grand Rapids Griffins, Sheahan has a goal, an assist, and a minus-2 rating.

As for the injured Cleary, Holland expects him back for Game 1 of the playoffs.
