On Tuesday afternoon, Detroit Tigers right-handed relief specialist Octavio Dotel was reinstated from the 15-day disabled list, according to Chris Iott. Dotel's stint on the disabled list was retroactive to June 3 due to inflammation in his right elbow.
In order to make room for Dotel on the active roster, the club was forced to assign right-handed relief pitcher Thad Weber to Triple-A Toledo. Weber was 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA over four innings in two appearances with the Tigers.

Dotel is 1-2 with one save in 21 appearances this season. He has a 4.42 ERA and a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 27-6 in 18.1 innings pitched. He should be available to pitch in Tuesday night's game against the St. Louis Cardinals at Comerica Park.
