Justin Verlander and Chris Sale were scheduled to meet on Thursday with first place in the AL Central on the line, but heavy rain has forced the game to be postponed until Monday. The official announcement from the Tigers can be found below:

The Tigers and White Sox were not scheduled to meet again during the 2012 regular season and both teams had an open date on their schedule Monday. It will be the last time this season that the two clubs meet, and the Tigers currently trail the White Sox by a game in the division.
Detroit will head to Cleveland for a weekend series with the Indians before making up the game with the White Sox. The Tigers and Indians are scheduled to begin that series Friday night at 7:05 p.m. ET.
