Lions vs. Bears score: Chicago leads Detroit, 13-0, after 3 quarters

Quarterback Jay Cutler returned for the Bears' first possession of the second half to lead Chicago to a 21-yard field goal, extending its lead to 13-0 in the opening minutes of the third quarter.

Cutler missed the Bears' final offensive possession in the second quarter after being brought down violently by Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. He was taken to the locker room before the end of the half, and backup Jason Campbell played the final possession of the second quarter.

The Bears initially went three-and-out on their first offensive possession of the second half, but the Lions' Stefan Logan muffed the ensuing punt and Chicago recovered to continue its drive.

The Lions had an opportunity to score in the red zone at the Bears' 1-yard line, but running back Joique Bell fumbled on second down and Chicago linebacker Brian Urlacher recovered to end the threat.

The Lions offense has been held to 193 yards, and has turned the ball over three times through three quarters.

Bears running back Matt Forte has 18 carries for 87 yards.

Lions vs. Bears score: Chicago leads Detroit 10-0 at halftime.

The Chicago Bears maintained their 10-0 lead over Detroit after a scoreless second quarter.

The Bears came close to scoring, but a 47-yard Robbie Gould field goal attempt was blocked by Lions defensive end Lawrence Jackson, which left Chicago scoreless after a 12-play, 58-yard drive that lasted just less than seven minutes.

The Lions threatened by reaching the the Bears' 18-yard line with an 8-play, 54-yard drive late in the second quarter but were unable to capitalize as running back Mikel Leshoure fumbled the ball. The Bears' Julius Pepper recovered to give Chicago possession at the end of the second quarter.

Backup quarterback Jason Campbell played the final possession of the first half for the Bears as Jay Cutler went to the locker room early after being brought down by Ndamukong Suh on the previous possession. Cutler's status for the second half is unknown.

Lions vs. Bears score: Chicago leads Detroit, 10-0, after 1st quarter

After the Lions offense went three-and-out on the opening possession of the game, the Bears orchestrated a six-play, 59-yard drive that culminated in a 7-yard touchdown reception by Brandon Marshall. The score put Chicago up 7-0 early in the first quarter.

The Lions offense struggled in the first quarter, as quarterback Matthew Stafford was 3-of-7 for 12 yards through the air and Mikel Leshoure had four carries for 22 yards and 34 total yards of offense. Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson was targeted three times but failed to catch a pass in the opening quarter.

Conversely, Matt Forte carried five times for 43 yards, and seven different Chicago wide receivers had receptions in the first quarter.

The Bears had six first downs to the Lions' one, and held the ball for more than half of the first quarter.

Lions vs. Bears inactives: DT Corey Williams will go for Detroit

After missing the past two weeks while recovering from knee surgery, Detroit Lions defensive end Corey Williams is active and expected to play against the Chicago Bears on Monday night, although he won't start the game. The team's inactive list does include cornerbacks Jacob Lacey and Bill Bentley, leaving Detroit's secondary rather thin.

Out since Week 3 with the knee injury, Williams' return should bolster a pass rush that's currently just 20th in the NFL in sacks. In the first three games of this season, the 32-year-old recorded six tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble, although he was quiet in a 44-41 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

Without Lacey (concussion) and Bentley (shoulder), the Lions are turning to rookie Jonte Green at cornerback on Monday night, according to Lions beat writer Tim Twentyman. He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2012 draft out of New Mexico State.

As for the Bears, fullback Evan Rodriguez and cornerback Zach Bowman are among those active this week that didn't play against the Jaguars two weeks ago. Rodriguez has been dealing with a knee injury but appears good to go, while Bowman was signed recently due to the injury of cornerback Sherrick McManis.

OT Corey Hilliard
DE Ronnell Lewis
