Houston Texans cornerback Brandon Harris was fined $21,000 for his hit on Detroit Lions punt returner Stefan Logan.

Houston Texans cornerback Brandon Harris was fined $21,000 on Wednesday for his hit on Detroit Lions punt returner Stefan Logan during the Texans' 34-31 overtime victory on Thanksgiving day. Harris said he will appeal the fine, adding, "they took my whole paycheck."

Logan was hit by Harris when he did not signal for a fair catch. Officials believe Harris made the hit too early, when Logan was still defenseless, and enforced a 15-yard penalty.

Harris is in his second season with the Texans after being drafted with the 60th pick of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Miami. He has served primarily as a special teams player and has just two tackles in three games this season.

This is the second fine to come out of the Lions' game against the Texans. Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was fined $30,000 for kicking Texans quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin during the game.
