Michigan Wolverines sophomore point guard Trey Burke was named to the Preseason All-Big Ten Team on Thursday.
Burke, last season's Big Ten Freshman of the Year, is joined on the team by Cody Zeller of Indiana, Tim Frazier of Penn State, and Aaron Craft and Deshaun Thomas of Ohio State. Zeller was named the Preseason Big Ten Player of the Year. Zeller, Burke, and Thomas were all named to the All-Big Ten Second Team last season. Michigan's Tim Hardaway Jr. was a member of the third team last season, but did not make the preseason team.
Burke averaged 14.8 points and 4.6 assists per game last season as a freshman. Burke opted to return to school and has already been ranked No. 9 on CBS Sports' preseason list of the top 100 players.
The Michigan Wolverines, who were picked to finish second in the Big Ten, begin their season on Nov. 9 when they host Slippery Rock.
