Saginaw Valley State vs. Michigan final score: Wolverines win, 76-48

The Michigan Wolverines went through their final regular season tune-up on Monday, knocking off Saginaw Valley State, 76-48.

Freshman Glenn Robinson III led the way for Michigan with 17 points. Robinson made seven of his nine shots, and went 3-of-5 on three-point attempts. Preseason All-American Trey Burke was the only other Wolverine in double figures, finishing with 16 points.

While Michigan won going away, Saginaw Valley State hung tough for the first few minutes. Michigan led 11-9 just over five minutes into the game before pulling away with a 24-3 run. The Wolverines led 43-20 at halftime. With the big lead, Michigan was able to clear its bench in the second half, with 14 players seeing time. Freshman forward Mitch McGary led Michigan with 10 rebounds. He also made all three of his field goal attempts and finished with six points.

The Wolverines will begin the regular season on Friday when they host Slippery Rock.
