In the Dec. 11 edition of his Bracketology, ESPN's Joe Lunardi has the Michigan Wolverines as the No. 1 seed in the West.

The Michigan Wolverines are a No. 1 seed in the Dec. 11 NCAA tournament bracket predictions from ESPN's Joe Lunardi. This is the first edition of Lunardi's Bracketology since the preseason Nov. 6 edition, in which Michigan was a No. 3 seed.

In the current edition Lundari has the Wolverines (9-0) playing in the West region, with their opening games in Auburn Hills, Mich. The other No. 1 seeds in Lunardi's bracket are Indiana (Midwest), Duke (East), and Florida (South).

Lunardi has Michigan opening play against Canisius and then getting the winner of Butler and California. The No. 2 seed in his West region is Kansas.

The Michigan State Spartans (8-2) come in as a No. 5 seed in the East, down from the No. 3 seed they received in the preseason edition.

Overall, seven Big Ten teams are listed in Lunadri's field of 68. That ties them for the most teams of any conference with the Big East and ACC.
