Michigan Wolverines head coach Brady Hoke expects leading wide receiver Jeremy Gallon to play on Saturday against the Northwestern Wildcats, even though he was seen wearing a protective boot on his right foot after the team's win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers a couple days ago, as Nick Baumgardner of MLive writes.
Hoke said that Gallon actually practiced in full with his teammates on Sunday, so it appears that any injury he suffered wasn't significant. That's certainly good news for a team that's already had trouble passing the ball this season even with its best receiver in uniform.
Over the first eight games of the season, Gallon has caught 22 passes for 390 yards and 2 touchdowns, plus he's ran the ball 11 times for 67 yards. He had particularly good numbers against Minnesota on Saturday afternoon, recording 72 receiving yards, 21 rushing yards and a touchdown against the Golden Gophers.
