Michigan's quarterback situation is still up in the air going into this weekend's game against Northwestern after Brady Hoke refused to comment on Wednesday.
Fans hoping to get some details on the respective statuses of Michigan Wolverines quarterbacks Denard Robinson and Russell Bellomy will be disappointed by Brady Hoke's news conference on Wednesday. During the presser, Hoke refused to discuss either player, leaving the team's quarterback situation up in the air going forward.
Last week, the Wolverines turned to junior Devin Gardner at quarterback in a 35-13 victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Gardner filled in admirably for Robinson, but things won't be nearly as easy this week when Michigan hosts the 24th-ranked Northwestern Wildcats with a possible Big Ten title game birth potentially on the line.
Robinson, the incumbent starter at the position and Michigan's most important player, has missed the past six quarters with an injured nerve in his elbow. Bellomy is also reportedly dealing with an injury, but Hoke refused to specify exactly what's wrong with the freshman right now.
