The Central Collegiate Hockey Association announced their 2012 Preseason All-Conference teams on Tuesday, which included three players from the Michigan Wolverines and one from the Michigan State Spartans.

Junior defenseman Jon Merrill from Michigan was selected to the CCHA preseason first-team voted on by the 11 CCHA head coaches. Merrill received eight first-team votes to tie for second in total voting points among all players with 44 points. Notre Dame forward T.J.
