Kevin Lynch is in his fourth season with the Michigan Wolverines.

The Michigan Wolverines have named Kevin Lynch as an alternate captain for the rest of the season. The senior forward was selected by coaches and captains, head coach Red Berenson announced on Tuesday.

Lynch, a Grosse Pointe native, will join captain A.J. Treais, in addition to alternate captains Lee Moffie and Mac Bennett as players to don a letter.

This is Lynch's fourth season with the team. In his career, he has 28 goals and 24 assists. Through nine games this season, Lynch is tied for fifth on the team with seven points (three goals, four assists). He has notched two multiple-point games and had a four-game point streak from Oct. 27 to Nov. 9.

So far this season, the Michigan Wolverines are 4-4-1. They will return to action on Thursday, when they host the No. 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish. It is their seventh-consecutive conference game.
