Michigan State appears to be in danger of squandering their chances at a Big Ten championship. Hosting the Purdue Boilermakers, the Spartans trail 21-13 at halftime.
Quarterback Kirk Cousins has been outstanding for the Spartans, completing 12-of-13 passes for 105 yards and a score. Cousins threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown, however, by Ricardo Allen.
Edwin Baker leads the Spartans with 86 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.
Running back Keith Carlos has been the standout for Purdue, rushing for 99 yards on five carries. That includes an 80-yard touchdown run that tied the game at 7-7 in the first quarter.
Purdue took the lead just before the half, with quarterback Rob Henry hitting Antavian Edison for an eight-yard touchdown pass with 14 seconds left.
